Collection of large, loose scrapbook pages, most individually sealed in plastic sheaths. Collection is tied together with a piece of string. Contains a miscellaneous collection of newspaper clippings, maps and documents related to Arlington history. There are several documents from the League of American Voters of Arlington, dating from the 1950's, including a population study, some maps of town center, and a history of streets and land use. There are several articles about the Old Schwamb Mill and the effort to preserve it, including several photos. Another set of articles relates to the stopping of the town clock, due to conditions that made it unsafe to set it manually. There are also several individual articles about Arlington news or history, including an article about the fire at the first parish church in 1975, the history of ice cutting in Arlington, and a biography of an Arlington soldier in WWI. There is also a photo of Mill Brook at Cooke's Hollow, with the comment that it needs to be cleaned up, some photos of the poor condition of the B&M railroad, and a photo of renovations at the Hardy School in East Arlington. A large part of the collection is clippings from the Arlington Advocate, from the series "Collins' Corner", written by Leonard Collins and discussing various themes such as the name of the town, the history of the fire department, and the history of the local branch of the Knights of Columbus. Most of the articles also include a photo. The series dates from 1963 to 1971. Included in the collection is a photo of the Jason Russell House in 1960, from the Arlington Advocate, and a brief article about he Russell House from 1971.
