Copy of Notice [June 4, 1856] "West Cambridge June 4th 1856 Dear Sir, The Contract has been made for carrying out the order of the County Commissioner on Concord Turnpike. The lines of the road are defined on the Plan and Profile of Said Road. This is to notify you to remove all obstructions on said road against your land, and to remove your Fence and Walls back on to said line on or before July 19th 1858. Francis Gould of West Cambridge is our Engineer and he will place the stakes on said line as drawn on said Plan by calling on him [?] to [?]. Most Respectfully Washington F. Lane, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen and Surveyor of Highways in West Cambridge" |
