4 1/2 x 7 in. Valentine..On front, cream lacy paper showing woman in sunhat with shepherds crook tending her sheep. Trees flowers and vines surrounding, all in cream. In center , Silver cherub holding circle of flowers over head on clear netting so that you can see words written on second page. Belive my heart will faithful prove. Around netting fragel soft pink flower and leaves at top and bottom of circle. 2nd card. 8 x 10 Cream lace paper with flap in center that lifts up to show smalll rectangle surrounded with gold . In center banner and flowers, pink roses which say ..Remember me... on front of flap gold two gold doves at top, gold circle in center which has bird in center holding envelope in mouth and gold bow at bottom.. Envelope in which both cards came addressed to Miss Marietta Pierce, West Cambridge, Mass. On back of envelope is documented that this was Mareitta Pierce (Bailey) about 1860.Gift fo Mrs Amy Bailey Schwamb...1925 |
