The document was written by the Precinct Clerk, Ammi Cutter, by order of the Committee. It is a notice requiring the collector of the northwest precinct of Cambridge, William Cutter, to notify freeholders and inhabitants of the area as well as those of Charlestown, who are qualified to vote, to attend a town meeting. The meeting would take place at the meetinghouse on September 19th at 2pm. The tasks required for the meeting (numbered 1-2) were to choose a moderator for the meeting and to know what the inhabitants what the inhabitants will do to repair the meetinghouse. A response was required on or before the date for the meeting. The reverse contains a short response from William Cutter that he has notified the proper parties. Dated September 19th. |
