Two handwritten documents on ledger paper, folded. Labeled with accession numbers followed by A and B, by the author as "first part" and "second part." Page numbers in upper corner. Handwritten with ink. "Past and Present." "To the Members of the Historical Society" Added with pencil: "Roadsides of West Cambridge by Almira Whittemore" and year of 1906-07 (Almira Tufts Fessenden Whittemore) Part 1 is one side of the street and part 2 is the other Note: In reference to JRH: Jr. L. P. Bartlett's new house, now the fine residence of E. Nelson Blake. The Teel Cottage now altered, removed and owned by P.H. Foster next the Jason Russell House with its long walk up to the door. It is interesting ot know tha tthe Emigrant 'William Russell' willied to his wife Martha, one have of the 'well.' Perhaps some of you have drankf rom the 'Old Oaken Bucket' which hung in that well. Leaving the well and a tract of undulating land, we come to Jesse P. Patte's well appoitned house with massive iron fence and artistic gateway."
