Killed in tavern with his brother-in-law Jason Winship American Revolutionary War figure. A non-combatant from Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was killed during the British retreat from Concord on the first day of the American Revolution, one of fifty Americans either killed or mortally wounded on that day. He, thirty-nine and his brother-in-law, Jason Winship, forty-five were drinking in Cooper Tavern when British regulars fired upon the building and then entered, killing both men. |
