view of fields of Wyman & Allen Farm c. 1890. Panoramic view taken from area of present Andrew Street. Shows flat plain of east arlington, which narrows beyond arlington Center into a valley and hills of Arlington Heights. Shows a few prominent structures now lost or changed including; the WIlliam T. Wood icetook factory, the third meetinghouse of the First Baptist Church (burned in 1900), the Universalist Church (Now Greek Orthodox and changed since damage in 1938 hurricane), fourth meetinghouse of the First Parish Church (burned in 1975), the first Five Cent Savings Bank, the Old Town Hall, and the William Penn Hose House. |
