Description |
Collection of grayscale photographs of railroad stations in Arlington. A: Arlington. There is a train at the station and several people are waiting by it. Undated, but appears c. 1900. 7" x 5". B + C: Two copies of a photo of 'Brattles' Station. One photo has a description reading: "Brattle Street Station, relocated 1883, photo date c. 1900. After serving the Center for thirty-three years, Arlington's first train station served the Brattle Street area for another sixty-two years. An early station agent, John Merrill, maintained prize-winning flower gardens at the station at about the time this photo was taken. The building was demolished in 1945." Both photos are 10" x 8" D: Brattles Station, other side than previous photograph. Undated. 7" x 5". |
