Description |
A girl lays on the beach in the sand looking into the camera. A man and two children are in the water behind him. This is the same photograph as 2012.7.46 but it is printed in a round manner, cutting off the corners of the original picture. Described in letter from Barbara Winn 2012.7.95 "Five and last is Mashpee. The man is my father, I think the girl in hair ribbon is Betty(?) Alden Swearingen & not . . . I'm not quite sure. The girl lying tummy down on the edge of the water was an orphan named Helen my mother took them for the summer for her own sake & to keep and (sic.) eye on . . kids too. I guess - mostly me probably." |
