Painting on paper, mounted to board. Could have been painted over a photographic print. Round painting on paper, WIlliam Adams house, based on daguerreotype of house also in collection, side view of Adams house, brown saltbox house in center left, outbuildings to the right, large tree in right foreground, stone and wooden fence along front, two people walking by. One of the people is possibly holding a bicycle. Round cut of paper indicates that it was once framed, also clips in back indicate framing. May be listed in database as framed piece, but none coud be found. Mounted on very stiff board/layers of board. Back reads; "Old Adams House torn down to make way for the Railroad" |
