World War I German Wireless Receiver Box, black leather with cloth covering, brass locks, green velvet inside in partitions, found in Fort Dowanmont (near Verdun) France by Vipsin, Moroccan, 8th Squadron, 1st Battalion Mark: "Telefunken Reservekasten Fur Empfangsverstarker Type E.V. 89" German translates to: "Spares chest for receiving amplifier type . . " Inscription on side: "2 Verstarkerungs- rohren E.V.N.94 2 do. mit Sockel Beschreibung Bedienungsvorschritt Werkzeug" Cloth label inside lid says "Beschreibung" ("description") |
