    Civil War era black leather cartridge case with a leather closing tab fitting to a brass knob. Four tin compartments inside. Two leather belt loops. Ends embossed with a six pointed star pattern. Owned by Captain Thomas Fay, Wrentham, who served under Union General Ambrose Burnside. NOTE: Sticky note attached to accession sheet reads, "De Access? Wrentham?"
