1931.2.1 - Candelabrum
Three branch candalabrum in brass or bronze. Classical molded base with plinth supports candlestick arms in floral motifs, drip pans have acanthus leaves. A hole is punched in the end of each leaf, which may have originally held prisms like a chandelier. On plinth against column is a Roman military figure: bearded man in helmet, cuirass, and cloak. Figure appears to be attached by wire. c. 1840 European.

1931.2.160 - Gown
Evening gown with train, made of black and gold satin with sheer black overdress (described as either chiffon or georgette), and decorated with jet trim. Worn by Miss Ida Robbins at Town Hall dedication. Waist stay identifies it as being made by Raphael Goudstikker, Naples. Waist stay also has handwritten note "Robbins 25248." However, pad under armpit reads "L. P. Hollander & Co. - Boston, Mass."

Women's bodice : Dolman of burgundy velvet with long red fur trim, covered buttons with holes. Red lining. Fitted back. Large cape like sleeves are partially detached on underside. Two long red ribbons on back. Label C F Hovey Co. Boston. Allegedly worn by Ida Robbins at Town Hall dedication 1913 . Dedication was in June , and this looks like a Winter item of apparel .

Handsewn, silk quilt made in a "half square triangle" pieced pattern. All sillks are bold, unpatterned fabric in multiple rich jewel tone colors. The quilting stitches are along each triangle seam, creating diagonal geometric stitch pattern on the reverse.
